Dear Month of March....

Dear Month of March,

Where are you going? Just like your brother, January, and your sister, February, you seem to feel the need to speed right by. Stop. Thanks.

Moving on...

Actually, I must say that I don't necessarily need you to stop. Why, you ask? Because there are definitely some positives about you...especially when it comes to the realm of entertainment.

First of all, thank you for your innate power and ability to bring some beautiful Vampire goodness my way. March 20th...New Moon on DVD. Need I say more? If only you could just advise me on which version to purchase....that would be fab. Get on that. Thanks.

March 16th...Next installment of the Vampire Diaries: The Return series. While I do not heart this series as much as the original, it will do. The satiation is exquisite. The SUPER-fabulous part? $1.99 pre-order for my Nook on release day. Fabulous! This one is super-chock-full of Damon Salvatore (though I must admit that I'm still rooting for Stelena....NOT Dalena...though I still want a happy ending for Damon too....anyway...moving on....)....

On a similar note, Vampire Diaries on the CW returns on the 25th. And it's about durn time. So Month of March, thank you. CW, stop messing around. It is not kosher to air two episodes, 3 weeks of nothing, 1 episode, etc. *sigh*

Second of all....looking forward to some movies being released this month. If I actually get to see them, that's another story. However....March, you are also responsible for bringing a wealth of beauty to the big screen. What/who's that, you ask? None other than the one and only Robert Pattinson. (However...Robz...I have to admit that I was a little bit disappointed with your hairstyle from the premiere that I have been seeing. Though I'm proud that you haven't been photographed whilst looking homeless this year...that I know of...I need to see the signature hair on the red carpet. It's only fair, you know.) Don't forget to remind your second cousin, thrice removed, a.k.a. June, that I'm counting down the days until June 30th and the emergence of the masterpiece that shall be ECLIPSE....

Also...The Last Song...another Nicholas Sparks gem. Please, please, PLEASE don't disappoint. After Dear John, I don't know how much more disappointment I can take. I have high expectations when it comes to anything Nicholas Sparks. Dear John was a devastation...a tsunami...a train wreck...(except for the presence of Channing Tatum...though he really doesn't measure up to the real John Tyree...*sigh*).

March, you also mark an interesting anniversary for me. Yesterday marked 11 years since I moved away from PA. Talk about a train wreck ;) Kidding, kidding, kidding...one of the best things to ever happen to me, even if I didn't realize it at the time.

Needless to say, March, I have big plans for us. I just hope you can live up to all of my ridiculous expectations.

Love Always,
~*~ ME ~*~

Hola, Muh Pretties

I know what you’re thinking. “You didn’t keep your promise about blogging.” TOTALLY NOT TRUE. It’s just that..well…it’s all up here *points to head*. HA! OR…I was dumb and have lost a couple of them by not saving properly….DINGDINGDING!!!!

So now…I must revert back to the whole typing in Word FIRST thing again…

*sigh*

Oh well! Anyway…there are a few things of note to mention…

1. REAL/ACTUAL SNOW in Upstate South Carolina. Can you believe it??? I sure couldn’t. I mean..call me a cynic, but that is what I have come to be in the last 6.5 years of being back in the South…at least, in regards to snow. However, this past Friday, we got around 5-6 inches at our house. CRAZY. I know that it’s NOTHING compared to other places where I’ve lived, but for South Carolina, it’s a big deal! Will *hopefully* post pics soon… I only hope that my nephew and nieces got to play in it! I guess I’ll find that out this weekend’ish, as we’ll be celebrating my “baby” niece’s 7th birthday! EEP…

2. Which brings me to #2….My youngest niece just turned 7 this past week. Wow…I am one old cookie. It’s absolutely shocking to me, though. I don’t mean to sound like an old person, but it really does seem like only yesterday that those kiddos were toddlers. I miss that. BUT…I must also admit that I love the fact that as they grow, they have these wonderful, distinctive personalities that make each one of them amazing individuals. Bryson is now 10, Tori is 9, and Rachel is 7…really fun ages…but they’re getting ready to hit that adolescence…it’ll be fun to see how THAT goes..lol

3. Which brings me to #3….New kiddos/family members….I don’t remember who all knows about this blog now…but I know that there are a number of people who read…even though they don’t “follow”…though they should…*hint*hint*…haha..j/k ;) But at any cost…for those of you who don’t know already…I’m supposed to be getting a couple more nieces in the coming months…Hailey, who is 9 (a month younger than Tori) and Maddie/Madison, who is 7 (about 6 months older than Rachel)…so that will be an interesting thing too. Poor Bryson. SO MANY GIRLS! The only thing he has going for him at this point is #4….

4. My second nephew is due to arrive in May/June….gosh…I miss having babies around…so it’ll be nice to have another one in the family. I’ve been told that I just need to move back to WA…as apparently, there’s something in the water out there…as everyone I know out there is on their 20th kid by now…j/k ;) I will admit, however, that I really do regret the fact that I haven’t gotten to know those new little people, though. *sigh* Oh well…this is what we deal with…

5. This one is major. Ok, really, it’s not…but I have to add it for my fellow Twilighters/Cougars..especially my KK and Melissa who know what I’m talking about with the reminder of stating/chanting, “He’s only 17…he’s only 17…he’s only 17…” TLautz turned the big 1-8 last week on the 11th. I mean, he’s still a young one, but at least he’s 18 ;) LOL Don’t swoon too much…as I said, I guess it’s not that mind-altering of a piece of information, but it sure as heck will make ME feel better when I’m New Moon’ing it come next month!

6. Did I happen to mention the release of New Moon on 3/20??? MIDNIGHT RELEASE PARTY?!?!? HECK YES!!! Ok, maybe not….I didn’t do the Twilight one last year, so I don’t think it’s that important to do it this year, either…unless, of course, someone ELSE wants to go…and maybe I might sacrifice just to keep them company ;) HAHAHA!

And FINALLY….KK, I hope you’re feeling better from getting sliced and diced. You conquered that gallbladder, and I’m guessing you didn’t need any vampiric assistance…as you didn’t notify me that you would need to borrow Edward…though I suppose you may have just gone straight to the Damon… ;) LOVES!

Snow Day!!!!

Why, HULLLOOO there! Long time, no see. Your fault, I'm sure. Kidding, kidding....
As we know, I've been on a bit of a hiatus. Why? Because I'm apparently really lazy when it comes to the blogging world. THAT and a bit of drama...all kinds...as always. Let me again repeat one of my favorite phrases in the whole world...

Save the DRAMA for your Mama!

No joke. I just don't understand the whole fascination with drama...life's too short for it. Give me fewer complications, and I am one happy girl! :D

But anywhoooo....

Let me just tell you...I have just returned from a trek in the rugged terrain of Antarctica. Ok, you caught me. It was Virginia. But STILL! SO...Kirsten has been trying to get me to come visit...and she bribes me with gas money...because I'm po' (yes...I know it should be poor, but I really can't afford the other "o" and "r"..bahahaha). SO I decide to go (decision not made until Wednesday). THEN I realize that the weather supposedly seems to be saying that it's going to send out this massive winter snow. Do I believe it? In all frankness...NO. Why? Because it typically never happens. But anyway...I do decide to work some extra hours, so I can leave work around 12/1 JUST IN CASE. Meanwhile, my mothers of co-workers hen at me all day on Thursday, as well as Friday, telling me not to go up....

I didn't listen.

And all was fine on Friday....I got in safely, and it was swell. However, we made a trip to Wal-Mart, and of course, everyone had gone in to get their bread, milk, eggs, etc. *rolls eyes*....we watch a movie, and then dundunduuuunnnn....here comes the SNOW.
It was beautiful that evening, but it didn't look real. It literally looked like chunks of glitter were mixed with it (because of ice)....and then when we woke up the next day...hmm...approximately 6+ inches....and it snowed all day...in all, a little over a foot. Don't get me wrong...it was GORGEOUS and SO FUN to play in, but it also kept me up an additional day, so I had to miss work...and now I just KNOW I'm going to hear a round of "I told you so"s when I get in to work tomorrow....grrawr.

So here are some pics....

Here's KiKi the Kia....she didn't know what to do....

This was the snowfall around half-way through the day, and even more came down!
GLORIOUS!!! :D

This is my sophisticated, "It's snowing" face...

And finally...the original "KiKi"...Kirsten and Kimi! Muahahaha!!!
(Pay no attention to the fact that I have hair all in front of my face on both sides...must slay the weave one of these days....)

So Silly...

Two numbers.

2 and 4.

Two words.

Jack and Bauer.

Another two words.

Stefan Salvatore.

Ok...and his earth name of Paul Wesley.

What is this jibberish, you ask? Tonight is the premiere of Season 8 of 24...yay! And my beloved Paul Wesley/Stefan Salvatore from Vampire Diaries is on a few episodes this season. I had almost forgotten about that. LOVE! Oh...AND Freddie Prinze Jr.!!!!

Wonderful day at church and some 24 to top the cake! Life is good!

PLUS...since I work in a Government office, NO WORK tomorrow...Happy MLKJ Day ;)

Again...no judging!!!! ;)

Happy New Year! (delayed...this I know...)

SUCKIEST blogger ever...*points to self*

I know. However, I will have you know that I have set a "fer sure" goal for the new year. I hate making "resolutions," because I typically never keep them.

However, I am forcing myself to become a better blogger...as of February. (Yes, I'm giving myself January to finish my slackage)...

That's how it goes...be prepared....

Much love!

I Need a Life...Don't JUDGE...

What to talk about? What to talk about? You’ll never guess. Ok, ok, ok…maybe you will.

I wish I could promise that the vampire talk will go away after New Moon is out, and I see it….but I can’t make that promise. Because then comes Eclipse…and if the world works the way that it should, Breaking Dawn will soon follow. And besides…I get my vamp fix every week from the CW. Vampire Diaries, baby. Heck yes.
But in all seriousness…today is 11/12. What does that mean? What is the significance? Well…I’ll tell you. In a week…exactly one week, KK will be all set and ready to swoon over some vamps (and to be frank, an underage werewolf, but whatevs…we don’t talk about that…as we don’t want to be considered cradle-robbers…*cough*…and when I say “we,” I really mean “me”…don’t judge.)…luckily for us, our theatre is one of the lucky ones that will be showing Twilight before New Moon…yaaaay! Four plus hours of Cullen-y goodness….(Meanwhile, it’s probably bad that I’ve also been plotting about what kind of food I want to sneak in…yes…I sneak snacks into the movies….judge me on that one, if you like. I don’t care…I refuse to be robbed by concession stands…psh…) However, there are a few things that I’m not looking forward to….the screaming fans (seriously…they can’t hear you…as I’ve said before)…parking (it took, like, 40 minutes to LEAVE the theatre for Harry Potter in July…ick)…and working the next day. (Oh, btw, to those of you who don’t know…I’m currently employed. I’m working at a Christian Bookstore, and while it’s a nice place, full-time/busting my butt off is not even paying all of my bills…sadness…*sigh*…so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that something else presents itself at some point…)

Side note…since today is 11/12, and it’s a Thursday, guess what TOMORROW is…DUNDUNDUUUUUUN!!!!! Yah…fo to the sho. Friday, the 13th. Muahahahahahaahaaaaaa! Ok, ok, ok, nothing awesome.

Anywho….I must make an apology. It was brought to my attention that I forgot a VERY important couple in my Favorites. I totally don’t know what I was thinking. Because they ARE one of my faves…and yet I forgot them…I guess that says that it’s about time I whipped out the DVD’s….

***DRUMROLL, PLEASE***

(I SAID DRUMROLL!!!!)

Ahem….

Joey Potter and Pacey Whitter of Dawson’s Creek (aka Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson). Man, I used to LOVE Dawson’s….my DVD’s got me through my year of working at Liberty when I couldn’t even get basic cable (even with bunny ears!!! Nada…zero…zip!!!). I was always rooting for Joey and Pacey. Who cared about Dawson? I sure didn’t. Dawson could stay in his creek for all I cared…but Joey and Pacey…*heart*… I remember the heartbreak that I felt when they split up at the end of high school…why, oh, WHY? But…when it was finale time, it was all worth it…..because she picked him….(what was so special about Joey freakin Potter anyway??? But whatevs…) And in my head, they totally got married, made babies, and lived happily ever after (and totally got paid for Dawson basing his show off of all of them)...see…this is why I typically don’t watch TV…*cough* Too much involvement.

Anywho...such a random post (and I swear I'm not on the crack)...but I must admit that I'm tired....excuses, excuses...

End.Fine.Ka-put.

Thursday, November 5, 2009

Wow...I came across a notebook the other day. And what did I find there? The 3rd remaining installment to my random couples lists.

Yes..that's right. The faves. The only issue is the fact that I do not believe that this is a complete list...so perhaps the others will pop into my head at some point. Maybe. Or some such.

Moving on...

Here are my Faves...or, like I said, the ones that were on the original list....and it's totally done in a random order...

1.) My parentals -- Seriously....although I may sometimes say/think differently, I have a pretty great set of parental units. They raised my brother and me in a nice, solid Christian home. And they're disgusting. Affection-wise. And in all fairness, in retrospect, I think it's probably way better to have parents who you KNOW are in love...w/o a shadow of doubt...than a set of parents who just put up with each other, because of some vows that they made. We were raised with a good, solid work ethic...in a realistic manner...one of my dad's fave lines has always been, "Well, who ever told you that life was fair???" Though we may have faltered here and there, there's never been a doubt that we were loved. Ok, enough of the sap. *cough* ;)

2.) Jack Dawson and Rose (?) from Titanic -- *Insert Celine Dion music here* LOL Geez...Titanic was the bomb diggity back in the day. I really need to watch it again. Loved it. And I have some fond memories of the people I saw that movie with....but seriously...one of the BEST movie lines of history is/was, "I'll never let go, Jack....I'll never let go..."....as Kate Winslet shoves Leo into the sea's depths. Wow. lol

3.) Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski from Saved by the Bell -- Who can argue with that? Come on, kids. The zany antics of the SBTB gang will live on...and on...and on...and on....syndication, peeps, syndication. Though they had their ups and downs....they ended up together...with a wedding in Las Vegas, no less....complete with some Gilbert Gottfried (sp?)...life is fabulous.

4.) Edward and Bella -- For you Twilighters, of course. And everyone else as well...don't hate. Come on...who can discuss couples and not bring our favorite vampires into the equation? Or ARE they the favorite vampires?

That brings me to....

5.) Stefan and Elena of the Vampire Diaries -- Ok, so Stefan likes to wallow in some angst...so very Edward-y. HOWEVER, as some of you Twilight fans refuse to acknowledge....I hate to break it to you, but Vampire Diaries came out over a decade before Twilight. Just sayin...

6.) Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley -- Oh, J.K. Rowling, you knew what we wanted....Harry goes from being an orphan that lives under the stairs to being part of the Weasley fam....officially. And they make babies. Some red-headed, lightning-scarred babies. HA! j/k...

7.) Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger -- See above....but instead of red-headed, lightning-scarred, they're just red-headed fuzzballs. Their intelligence could really go either way...to be frank. But again, we're in a fantasy world...which is where I choose to live a lot.

8.) Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens/Troy and Gabriella -- So I got hooked on High School Musical. My niece was a bad influence. So what? What are you going to do about it? NOTHING..because deep down inside, you know you heart it too. Don't judge me. (btw, I love them as a couple in real life AND on the screen...that's why both sets of names were included..tee to the heeee heee...and yes, I acknowledge that her photo scandals are regrettable...and ridiculous...and not at all a positive thing for young girls to look up to....)

9.) Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith -- I just heart them...and with all of their success, they're still able to stay out of the media. That's fantab. However, I have heard some really weird views from them regarding edu-muh-cation....

10.) Peter Facinelli (PFach) and Jennie Garth -- Dr. Carlisle Cullen and Kelly Taylor. Twilight and 0ld-sk00l 90210. Enough said. ;) (I also just love that they've lasted so long as a "famous couple"....when you hit the double-digits in Hollywood, it's like hitting the gold anniversary in real people years...lol)

11.) Naley...(Nayley? Nayleigh?) -- Haha...Nathan Scott and Hayley James Scott of One Tree Hill fame. You break them up, put them back together, torture them, bring them back together, almost break them up, etc, etc, etc. Just know that if the writers EVER permanently broke them up, I would no longer be able to watch the CW on Monday nights...just sayin...

12.) Piper and Leo from Charmed -- See above...different TV show..same dynamic.

13.) Peanut Butter and Chocolate -- I know I've already shocked some readers due to the NO pb and j thing....but Peanut Butter and Chocolate? Heaven for my taste buds. There's only one thing better...

And that's...

14.) Chocolate and Mint -- YUUUMMMMY...and it's getting to be the Christmas season...which means lots of peppermint...and chocolate....*sigh* Peppermint Mochas!!!!! And MINT M&M's!!!

***These last two are actual couples....not figments of an author's/creator's mind (well...except for God's, of course). Please understand that I'm half-way to silly-town with those that I mentioned above (except for the parentals). I know they're products of fiction...and Hollywood'ish...don't worry. Totally in touch with reality ;) ***

15.) Gabe and Naye -- Friends from WA...that I love to DEATH. I met the two of them when I was 14 years old...they were already together, and they got married just a couple years later. Gabe was seriously my brother from another mother...and there are just no words for Naye...they have both been HUGE blessings in my life (as well as countless others'). I have always seen God in them, and they continue to raise their growing, little family that way. And they make cute babies. ;)

16.) KiKi and Ben -- They're a living example of how not all young marriages are doomed to failure. They just FIT. I knew him when I was little, and when I found out that she was dating him when we were in high school, my first thought was, "WHAT????"...but I was pleasantly surprised upon being reacquainted with him. He's the yin to her yang....the rice to her crispies. It's just magical. <3>

Anywhooooo...there you go...finished...done-zo....

(P.S....I totally just saw a New Moon commercial on TV....do you realize that in just two weeks, KK and I will be salivating over our fave vampires??? Bring. it. on.)
