The Fallen

Alright then....these are a few of my favorite Fallen Couples. Gone....bit the dust...kicked the bucket...though not in a dead way, typically. (And no, I don't care that some of them are fictional...because I'm CRAZY like that) :D

1.) Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe -- Wow...I sure loved them. Ok, so I wasn't so in love while watching them in Cruel Intentions. HEARTBREAKING. But what made it even more heartbreaking was an interview where Reese was describing how hard it was to film that movie on certain days...because the person she loved was saying these HORRIBLE things to her...but she knew it was acting and had to take it. They made ADORABLE babies and seem to have a fairly good relationship in regards to their divorce.

2.) Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson -- Come on. I know she's annoying...but it was epic. Such a pop culture thing...The Newlyweds. Who will ever forget the tuna debate...chicken or fish? Or the "I don't eat buffalo" statement? LOVE IT. (And I have all of the seasons on DVD to prove it...bahahaha!)

3.) Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling -- You may hate me...but I thought the movie The Notebook was HIGHLY overrated. Don't get me wrong. I'm a HUUUUGE Nicholas Sparks fan, but I just don't think the movie was all that everybody thinks it is. My life was not changed. I did not swoon and compare all of my fallen relationships to Noah Calhoun. HOWEVER, I just thought they had GRRREAT chemistry...and they were the cutest couple ever. Does anyone remember their MTV Movie Awards acceptance kiss??? Besides, I was also a Mickey Mouse Club fan, and I remember Ryan from THOSE days (Don't you?!?)....and who can forget Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls? Wasn't a big fan of that movie, but I thought she was hahahalarious....(and now she's with Josh Lucas...HOTT. Sweet Home Alabama...LOVE IT! Favorite line? "Honey, just because ['cause?] I talk slow don't mean I'm stupid.")

4.) Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody -- For those of you who aren't familiar, Wiki them or something...they were on the O.C., playing Summer Roberts and Seth Cohen. Seth was by far my favorite character...the nerdy kid with the dry sense of humor...I think we may have been soulmates. And though their characters lived on to get married, their on-screen romance ended. *SIGH* Oh, Christmukkah, you will forever live in my heart!

5.) Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray -- Ok, another Teen soap couple (One Tree Hill)....I don't have much to say about this one. Except for the fact that Chad was a LOSER (and perhaps still is...*shrugs*)....Seriously, though....hooking up with Paris Hilton? Who HASN'T? Gross. However, I must commend them on their abilities to be professionals...I think it would totally suck to be forced to play significant others on your TV show after your real-life divorce (or was it annulled? I dunno...)

Now, we move on to some fictional ones....DUNDUNDUUUUUUN!!!!

6.) Buffy and Angel -- *swoon* Vampire Slayer and Vampire with a Soul. However, they then "get together," and the world almost ends.... Oh, Cruelest Fate! I like to pretend that after both shows ended (though Angel ended looking as if the world was ending), somehow, they figured something out and were able to be 2gether 4ever, yo.....

7.) Brandon-Kelly-Dylan from 90210 -- NO, I'm not saying I wanted all three to be together. Get the mind out of the gutter! But I LOVED Brandon and Kelly together. I won't lie. But there was also just that something about Kelly and Dylan (that apparently lasted since on the revamp of the show, they had a kid together). However, which would be best? I think my ideal would be Brandon and Kelly....and then Dylan and his dead wife (aka Antonia Marchette...aka the Juliet to his Romeo...aka the daughter of the man who "killed" his father...aka the infamous Noxzema girl...aka Rebecca Gayheart...aka wife of Eric "McSteamy" Dane, and we all KNOW how crazy THEY'VE been lately...SCANDALOUS!)

And now just an Honorable Mention....

***Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez -- These are two of the most ADORABLE teenagers in Entertainment today. Even their interviews about their summer flirtation are precious. Even though they didn't last as a couple (or so they SAY), they clearly still think highly of each other, given what they've said in interviews. Taylor Lautner = my favorite werewolf ; Selena Gomez = my 2nd favorite female wizard (Umm..HELLO...Emma Watson as Hermione Granger?). For those of you don't know, she's on the Disney Channel show, Wizards of Waverly Place, which I started watching with the kiddos (and am not afraid to admit that I still watch it without them...Don't judge me!!!) I know it's sad that I even know this much about this world, but I don't care. I'll be loud and proud. Boo to the ya.***
